The Story of Borrow My Glasses

Picture

Donna Fedus
Gerontologist

The story of Borrow My Glasses (BMG) starts with Donna Fedus. When Donna discovered the field of aging at age 23, she rearranged her life to be part of it, earning her masters in gerontology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. As a gerontologist educator in hospitals, universities and with client organizations for nearly 30 years, Donna brings her passion for dementia and caregiving issues, curriculum design, building coalitions, and new program strategy.

Lauren Lewis, Donna’s twin sister is also an educator, but started at the other end of the age spectrum, working in children’s television and in the global youth leadership space amplifying the ideas and impact of young people around the world. A producer/writer/attorney, Lauren also spent over 10 years producing corporate training events, e-learning initiatives and apps to track performance for Fortune 500 companies.

Donna and Lauren co-founded Borrow My Glasses in 2013. The name reflects their deep belief in the importance of bringing new perspectives to aging and caregiving. They combine their passion and expertise as teachers and storytellers utilizing Lauren’s background as a producer with Donna’s subject matter expertise.
